California receives a gift and an invitation to go after her mother's trail with her tree parents

The van breaks down. While they fix it, California rescues Pigorberta, a stray pig they want to cook, but gives her back to her mother. They meet Neto, a magician who wants to go on a trip with them.

While travelling through Guadalajara, Diego and the whole family are forced to return to his parents' house. California discovers some revealing secrets, and not everything in her life is as she thought.

With no money and no petrol, the family stays in an inhospitable town where they have to work to get the means to continue their journey. California feels guilty for frustrating his parents' musical dream.

Once in Zacatecas, Miguel must make a decision and must choose between his family or Paulina. The musical band returns to perform for the first time in eight years, while Itzel is closer than they think.

In Zacatecas, California goes to an environmental meeting of Pablo Sandoval in search of her mother, while Itzel tries to trick the malandras and devises a new plan to meet her daughter without being in danger.

Full of anticipation, the gang continues their journey after the new Itzel trail to a new meeting point: Baja California. During the journey, something unexpected happens to California.

In Mazatlán, Itzel manages to trick the villains. The parents know there is little to finish the journey and they do not want to say goodbye to their daughter, so they try to delay boarding the ferry at all costs.

Finally, the meeting between California and her mother arises in Mazatlan. The parting between the girl and her three parents is inevitable. The family learns the reason for Itzel's disappearance over the past nine years.

California, Miguel, and Diego are trapped, but all is not lost: they can still be rescued.
