Catarina talks to the witch doctor about the future. Virgílio tells Martinho and Constância that Amália must turn herself in to reduce her sentence. Afonso promises Constância that he will bring her children back. Selésio tells Lucrécia that he loves her and the two end up kissing. Catarina decides to get pregnant and, to do so, seduces Virgílio. Amália tells Afonso that Catarina visited the witch doctor.

Amália is wary of Catarina's plans. Virgílio realizes that Rodolfo is bothered by Catarina's popularity. Catarina tells Lucíola that she needs to keep Rodolfo in love with her. Catarina tells Brumela to rehire Ulisses. Brumela tells Ulisses that she is willing to accept him back in the kitchen if he agrees to respect her authority. Afonso and Levi come across a hunter.

Amália tries to convince the hunter that Afonso and Levi are not a danger. Brumela is irritated by Rodolfo's compliment to Ulisses and decides to resign. Catarina is worried when she realizes that Diana saw her kissing Virgílio. Selena goes after Afonso, after Agnes claims to know where he is. Selena warns Afonso and Amália that there are guards looking for them.

Catarina appoints Ulisses as the new commander of the castle kitchen. Agnes takes Afonso and Amália to hide in a cave. Brumela tells Betânia that she will work in the fields. Virgílio pressures Diana to tell him what she knows about Amália's whereabouts.

Lucíola reveals to Catarina about a conversation she overheard between Virgílio and Diana, and the queen concludes that they are betraying her trust. Lucrécia suggests to Mother Benedita that the fair be held in Montemor. Brumela decides to shelter Afonso, Amália and Levi. Ulisses reprimands Selena for having told Diana where Amália is taking refuge. Lucíola tells Catarina that she saw Diana preparing to leave on horseback.

Rodolfo's advisors tell the prisoner Enoque that his life will be spared, but he must leave Montemor. Glória eats the enchanted fruit again. Agnes shows Selena the men who are looking for her. Afonso meets with Otávio, king of Lastrilha. Diana helps Virgílio enter Catarina's room, and the merchant discovers a letter about Augusto's arrest.

King Octavian promises to arrange a meeting with the other kings of Calia. Virgil gives Eloi a letter to deliver to the sender in case anything happens to him. Olegário agrees with Lupércio and decides to end his relationship with Matilda. King Octavian offers Rodolfo information about Afonso's whereabouts in exchange for a better trade agreement between the kingdoms of Montemor and Lastrilha.

Otávio reveals to Rodolfo that Afonso is interested in making alliances with the kingdoms of Cália to overthrow him from the throne of Montemor. Amália doesn't accept Afonso's arguments and ends her relationship with the king. Catarina tells Lucíola that she needs to find Augusto. Catarina suffers an accident and fears losing her baby.

Glória is surprised to see Rodolfo in the castle of Lastrilha. Lupércio assures Afonso that Catarina's baby is out of danger. Diana suspects that Gregório is in love with Amália.
