Shi-de is a manager at a company looking for the perfect girl. Yi-ru is a workaholic who was told she has cancer and will only live for six months.

Yi-ru confesses her plans for the future to Shi-de, but then becomes even sadder and bursts into tears. Shi-de makes her an unexpected proposal.

Shi-de tells Yi-ru to live in the present and try to be happy. After getting married, they return to the hotel, but they don't know what to do.

Yi-ru is very excited about what Shi-de did. The next morning, Samantha looks for Yi-ru and gives her some surprising news.

Shide's sister is furious after discovering he's married. Yiru secures a meeting with a powerful executive, but panics when she discovers his name.

Yi-ru's father begins to have doubts about his daughter's ring, so Yiqing has to distract him. Yiqing asks Yi-ru how she feels about Qi-ming.

Qi-ming visits the Yangs to apologize for what he did, but Yi-ru still doesn't want to talk to him. Yi-ru doesn't want to continue lying to Shi-de.

Shiyun meets Yu-xiang while jogging in the park in the morning and doesn't want to be disturbed, but Yu-xiang keeps following her.

Shi-de tells Yi-ru that he wants to take care of all the business related to Fenghua. Yi-ru wants to know more about Haosheng and helps Shi-de get information.

Shi-de asks Yi-ru to go out on the streets and conduct a survey. Yi-ru has a hard time doing everything alone, but Shi-de wants her to do it again.

Suddenly, Qi-ming decides to take the job seriously, but none of the employees believe him. Shi-de rushes to meet Cairong, but Cairong is busy.

Cairong thinks Shide is acting childish. Yiping gets into trouble at Mr. Yang's cooking class and apologizes profusely.

Shi-de still can't forgive Yi-ru for lying to her all this time. Yi-ru also can't stand Shi-de always making things difficult for her.

Shi-de invites Yi-ru out on a date to apologize. Yi-ru accepts Shi-de's apology and they decide to start over.

Shi-de takes Yi-ru to visit his factory and tells her about Haosheng's past in detail. Shi-de then takes her back to his alma mater.

Shiyun is embarrassed that Yankai saw her disheveled, but he writes to apologize. Shi-de invites Yi-ru and Qi-ming to dinner.

When Yu-xiang follows Yankai and Shiyun again, he tries to appear relaxed, but is forced to flee after an accident. Later, he goes to a basketball game with Ziyuan.

Shi-de tells his grandmother and the others that he wants to woo Yi-ru, but Yiping lets slip that Shi-de played some pranks on him on purpose.

Shi-de's grandmother and mother obtain Yi-ru's birth date to find out if the eight characters of his and Shi-de's dates are compatible.

Shi-de says that he will never stop wanting to win Yi-ru over, as he wants her to be happy no matter what. Qi-ming also decides that he will never give up on Yi-ru.

The Lan family members are worried about Shi-de and Shiyun. When they finally get home, everyone starts questioning Shi-de.

Shide and Qiming return to the hotel to try to reconstruct the events of that night. Shiyun begins to see Yuxiang in a different light.

Shi-de follows Yiping to Mr. Yang's cooking class, hoping to impress him with his decision to want to cook for Yi-ru.

Qi-ming breaks the fish tank to show his determination and gives Yi-ru a gift to get her back. Yi-ru doesn't believe he will be faithful to her.

Qi-ming starts trying harder after Yi-ru's rejection. Yu-xiang receives a package from Shiyun.

Mr. Yang rejects Yiping, who returns home sadly. Shiyun deduces that the rejection is because of her two daughters and tries to help.

Qi-ming just wants to get back to the office and finish the business proposal. The only thing that works to get him to stay and rest is Yi-ru's anger.

Qi-ming witnesses the sweet exchange between Shi-de and Yi-ru and becomes very sad. Later, Qi-ming tells Yi-ru that he really wanted a second chance.

Yi-ru and Shi-de arrive home. Yi-ru hides the flowers, not wanting Mr. Yang to find out they are dating, but it doesn't help much.

Yiping comes to Haosheng to look for the packages and invites Yiqing to have coffee to find out if Mr. Yang mentioned him lately.

Shi-de is about to leave the company and asks Yu-xiang if she really likes Shi-yun. Yiqing wishes Shi-de would tell her more nice things about Yu-xiang.

Shi-de's grandmother wakes him up to go on his date with Yi-ru, and he promises that he will propose to Yi-ru soon.

Yu-xiang is distracted thinking about Shiyun when he receives a call from her about a delivery. Yu-xiang asks Yiqing to go in his place.

Yi-ru is heartbroken and wants to go look for Shi-de at the river, but Qi-ming stops her. When Shi-de returns, Yi-ru runs into his arms and promises to marry him.

Yiqing wants to make sure there is enough time to prepare for the wedding while Yi-ru is busy with her work. Shi-de's grandmother and mother agree.

Yiqing asks Shi-de to make a donation for children with cancer and says that Cairong is Qi-ming's Snow White. Qi-ming rejects Shi-de's help.

Qi-ming returns to Fenghua and recalls the kissing contest. Su Mei and Xiaowei ask him why he became shy, but Qi-ming doesn't want to talk about it.

The bachelor party takes an unexpected turn. As Yiru prepares for the big day, Shide and Qiming disappear.

As Shi-de helps Yi-ru dry her hair, Yi-ru asks him about his bachelor party. Yi-ru gets angry at what he did and doesn't let him sleep in the bed.

A pet gives Shiyun gifts while she's out walking, which turns out to be Yuxiang; after giving her some flowers, she asks her out on a date.

While waiting for Shi-de in the room, Yi-ru rereads the book about Boracay Island and decides she wants to buy a camera to capture their lives.

Shiyun asks Shi-de and Yi-ru what they think about dating a younger man. Yi-ru senses that the reason behind her question is not simple.

Shi-de tells Yi-ru that An Gesi wants to win Yiqing over. Yi-ru is surprised, as she remembers that An Gesi was very interested in her.

Shi-de and Yi-ru are happy and excited to see the ultrasound of their unborn baby. The couple meets Cairong, who congratulates them.

Qi-ming finds out about Yi-ru's pregnancy and asks her to stay home and rest. Shi-de visits Haosheng, but no one is at the company.

Mr. Yang believes that Qi-ming has no reason to reject Cairong. Qi-ming feels that it is better to set a boundary while they are still friends.

Yiping sees Yu-xiang when he brings Shiyun home and asks Shiyun if they are together, but she evades the question.

Cairong goes to the school where Qi-ming studied to get information about basketball games and finds out that Ms. Sun is there too.

Qi-ming mocks himself for not being able to accept Cairong. Mr. Yang is sad for him. Yi-ru drags Shi-de to Haosheng in the middle of the night.

Yu-xiang meets Anqi and her husband on the street, and the couple thinks he is following Anqi. Shiyun defends Yu-xiang and lectures Anqi.

Qi-ming declares his love for Cairong and takes the opportunity to kiss her, but receives a slap in return. Shi-de and the others make fun of him.

Shi-de has a cold and asks Yi-ru to sleep with Shiyun. Shiyun decides to ask Yi-ru for advice on her relationship with Yu-xiang.

Shiyun's grandmother and mother keep talking about Yu-xiang in front of her, which makes her feel embarrassed. Shiyun discovers Yu-xiang's notebook.

Shiyun's grandmother and mother are worried about her. Yiqing visits Qi-ming and tells him what happened between Shiyun and Yu-xiang.

Qi-ming meets his mother at the hospital, who visits Mr. Yang. Qi-ming's mother thanks Mr. Yang for taking care of her son.

Yi-ru is still sad and dejected when she gets home. Her family is worried, and so is Shi-de. Yi-ru searches for information about cancer.

Yiru is still recovering from her diagnosis and tells her father the truth. She then looks for a way to break the news to Shide.

Shi-de tells his family about Yi-ru's illness. The news saddens his grandmother, but brings the whole family together to support Yi-ru during her treatment.

Shi-de visits the Yang family, but Yi-ru doesn't want to see him. However, Cairong brings good news: Yi-ru has a 90 percent chance of survival.

Shi-de tells Yi-ru that he wants to talk to her, but she pretends to fall asleep. When Shi-de leaves, Yi-ru takes the sesame soup.

Shi-de and Yi-ru return to the Lan family's house, where the family is worried. Shi-de announces that he will not let Yi-ru receive the treatment.

Mr. Yang, Shi-de, and Yi-ru visit Mrs. Yang's grave. Yi-ru apologizes to her father, and Shi-de asks Qi-ming for help. Yi-ru goes to the doctor.

Mr. Yang forgives Shi-de. Qi-ming goes to the Yang house, where he finds only Cairong sleeping and tries to kiss her.

Shi-de doesn't like Ouyang's attitude, but Yi-ru says she believes Cairong's recommendation and wants to attend the seminar anyway.

Ouyang tells Shi-de that he should postpone the surgery. Later, Cairong finds out that Ouyang hurt her hand when he helped her the day before.

Ouyang prepares the flowers and cake for Cairong. Qi-ming thinks Ouyang wants to woo Cairong, so he asks Shi-de and Yi-ru for advice.

Yiqing and Shiyun see Yu-xiang carry a box of books to his car and drive away, so they decide to follow him and discover something surprising.

Sitting on the sidewalk, Yi-ru and Cairong watch a romantic movie. Cairong is impressed and smiles. After the movie, Qi-ming shows up and proposes to her.

Cairong feels that Qi-ming did not propose to her out of love. Qi-ming becomes sad and seeks support from Shi-de and Yi-ru.

The Lan family members bet on the gender of Yiru's baby. Yiru says that she hasn't considered that question yet, but her grandmother is curious about it.

Qi-ming takes Cairong to the hotel. Mrs. Sun comes to visit and expresses her concern to Cairong. Qi-ming hugs his mother and she becomes emotional.

At the hospital, Shi-de finally wakes up. Yi-ru hugs Shi-de happily and he asks her not to leave him. Yi-ru shows Shi-de her baby.
