After being laid off from his job at a café, Dome meets Khatha who offers him a job at a mysterious museum. However, on the first night of his new job a haunted typewriter begins to cause mayhem at the museum.

After the items of Zone 16 are stolen, Dome decides to take responsibility for his mistake leading to their theft and tracks them down. Before he's even arrived, though, a cursed dagger has wreaked havoc on the thieves. Hot on Dome's trail is Khatha, headless of the danger of going alone in the face of Dome's peril.

The employees of Midnight Museum go searching for the Moths of Memory. Despite Khatha urging him not to use his ability, Dome uses it to track the moths to Rin, a woman being stalked by her ex-boyfriend.

On the first day Dome can remember, something fell from the sky and transformed him. That same day, Khatha saw him in the street and recognised him. Visiting Dome's residence, Khatha learns of the sudden change in Dome. Meanwhile, harassed high school student Auto gets ahold of a stone that grants him a dark power.

With Dome locked up in the museum refusing food, Khatha attends an auction with the object of purchasing an artefact to help Dome. He's up against a formidable bidder going by the monicker The High Priestess. Meanwhile, newlywed Ing is having a hard time with her new family when a mysterious woman appears offering her a solution.

Alone in the world now, Dome is looking for a job when he meets Anthika. Though it pains him, Khatha assumes that by keeping his distance, Dome will be kept safe with the anklet's aid. Meanwhile, an escaped artifact yearning for connection assembles a mannequin that comes to life.

"The One" makes himself known, bringing about a horrifying game Khatha cannot evade.

Dome manages to put through a garbled call to the museum's payphone. Desperate to return Dome to his body, Khatha contacts a man with a prior connection to the payphone.

Khatha, June and Triphop go looking for Dome's body at Anthika's property after a call with Bam reveals that someone wearing Triphop's face wheeled him in. Meanwhile, powers in Anthika's cult are shifting.
