Jinnian saves Anhao when she is bullied during the rehearsal. Back in school days, Anhao, Anyi and Jinnian's half-brother Jiamu are close friends.

Jiamu introduces Jinnian to Anhao. The two grow closer, while Jiamu is pestered by his admirer Qianqian. Jinnian refuses to forgive his father.

Director Sun and Jiamu's mother Ruchu tries to drive Jinnian out of school, but they fail to do so. Jinnian and Anhao misunderstand each other.

Jinnian and Anhao quarrel on the set. Jinnian takes care of Anhao after she collapsed with illness. Xiangsi grows suspicious of Jiamu's awakening.

Anyi is not happy about Jinnian and Anhao filming a kissing scene. Xiangsi finds Jiamu still unconscious. An injured Jinnian disappears.

Jinnian lies about taking care of Anhao for Jiamu. Xiangsi takes care of Jiamu in the hospital. Anhao is rescued by Jinnian from a pervert producer.

Anhao confronts Jinnian about the child, but he remains silent. Xiangsi receives roses and gifts from Jiamu. Jinnian clears the air with Anhao.

To Ruchu's joy, Jiamu and Anhao dissolve their marriage, but the company suffers a crushing blow from a scandal and the underselling of its shares.

Jinnian's revenge angers Jiamu, Anhao urges Jinnian to show mercy. Ruchu blames her son for befriending Jinnian. Jiamu is angry with Xiangsi.

Anhao learns that Ruchu is responsible for her child's death. Jiamu can't forgive his mother and runs away. Jinnian refuses to make up with Anhao.

Anhao plays a recording found in Jinnian's box at the auction to expose Ruchu. Xiangsi informs Jiamu that she is married, Qianqian watches from afar.

Anhao and Jinnian celebrate their love. Qianqian asks Jiamu to accept her. Upon learning Anhao is related to his mother's death, Jinnian is enraged.
