Cathy Connor and Eamonn Docherty are childhood sweethearts who are desperate to escape their East End roots. When Cathy murders her Mum’s pimp in self defence it changes their lives forever.

Cathy's desperate situation turns more so when she finds herself in a correctional facility. Eamonn quickly becomes embroiled in an underworld of crime, earning his stripes by protecting Dixon from getting shot on a heist.

With Desrae’s help, Cathy reinvents herself in Soho. Cathy and Eamonn are reunited but it ends in disaster and Eamonn is forced to flee the country.

Eamonn returns to London to supply detonators to members of the IRA, before the death of his father makes him yearn for Cathy even more. The pair are reunited again, and with their chemistry as strong as ever, the pair plan to start a new life in America together. Meanwhile, Dixon's attacks on the West End clubs intensify

Cathy and Tommy's marriage is on the rocks which is further exacerbated when Eamonn returns to London. When Tommy's drug deal goes wrong, Kitty's life is left hanging in the balance.

Cathy and Eamonn think about the future but soon learn that the odds are stacked against them making it together.
