A dramatic circumstance will align the paths of Loukas and little Eva, grandfather and granddaughter, who have never met each other, with those of Marina, a sensitive social worker, and Manos, a juvenile prosecutor with a troubled family life.

Marina begins to investigate the dark personality of Loukas, who is once again involved in a violent incident. When Marina goes to meet him, he refuses any contact with Eva.

At the social service, Marina is attacked for her stance, but Loukas, shaken by his first meeting with Eva and by Marina's insistence, decides to change his mind.

His hard heart seems to be softening. And while everyone is extremely worried about this unusual experiment, Loukas accepts temporary custody, so Marina and Manos take Eva to the farm.

Following twelve years of loneliness, Loukas spends a few days with Marina and his "unknown" granddaughter and everything seems to change. Marina watches as other people's fears are disproved and her own hunch is proven right. But when it’s time to leave the two of them alone, those fears return.

Elena, Eva's grandmother from Romania, arrives in Greece; at the same time, an unexpected complaint leads to a new investigation into Louka's dark past.

Marina tries to find a solution to the impasse, while at the same time being called to account to the prosecutor regarding Loukas' guardianship; he is forced to confront his past once again and testifies to the police, despite his refusal to do so.

Loukas realizes he must convince Eva to leave, but she refuses to let him. On that same night, however, armed men invade the farm and Loukas is forced to fight the most difficult battle of his life.
